Required documentation

For the registration of an association, as well as an association of a higher level (federation), it is necessary to submit Form 1 with a list of founders, Form 1.1, and the Guide for the Classification of Associations and Foundations to the Ministry.

Along with the application for registration in the register of associations (Form 1), containing the information from Article 7(1) of the regulations and the list of the association's founders (Form 1.1), the applicant shall attach:

a) minutes of the association's founding assembly;

b) the founding act of the association, in accordance with Article 11 of the Act;

c) certified copies of the identity cards of founders who are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, the passport and proof of authorised residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina – for a foreign founder, or an extract from the register for a legal person founder or another legal act proving the legal person status of the founder of the association;

d) the association's statutes in two copies, in accordance with Article 12 of the Act;

e) a certified statement from the applicant, made under full moral, material and criminal liability, declaring that the association in formation has not been registered under the same name with another registration authority in Bosnia and Herzegovina;

f) the decision on the appointment of the association's bodies, containing the first names, surnames and addresses of the appointed persons, their duties within the association, the duration of their term of office, the date of entry into force of the decision, and the date, number and signature of the President of the founding assembly of the association;

g) a certified signature of the person representing the association;

i) a copy of the association's sign, if prescribed by a provision of the articles of association;

j) translation of the association's name into the languages in official use in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with Article 7, paragraphs (5) and (7) of the Act, certified by an authorised court interpreter;

k) a translation of the association's name into the foreign language, if the association has a name in that language in accordance with its articles of association, certified by an authorised court interpreter;

l) consent under Article 7(6) of the Act if the name of an association includes the name of a natural person;

m) consent of the competent authority of the city, municipality or settlement for the use of the name of the city, municipality or settlement in the association's name;

n)   proof of payment of the administrative fee

o) other evidence in accordance with the association's statutes.
