The Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the session of the House of Representatives held on 30 September 2003, and at the session of the House of Peoples held on 30 September 2003, adopted the Law on the Registration of Legal Entities Established by the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( Official Gazette of BiH, no. 37/03).

In accordance with the provisions of this Act, the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted the Regulation on the Method of Keeping the Register of Legal Entities Established by the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", Nos 05/05 and 37/13).

By enacting this law, the legal conditions and procedure for the registration of legal entities established by the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rights and obligations of registered legal entities, the registration process, amendments and supplements to registrations, the dissolution of registered legal entities and other matters relating to the registration of legal entities are legally regulated.

The provisions of this Act shall apply mutatis mutandis to the public corporations of Bosnia and Herzegovina established in accordance with Annex IX of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The registration of legal entities is carried out by entry in the Register of Legal Entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is maintained by the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In accordance with the provisions of this Act, legal entities are obliged to register in the Register.
