All persons have the right to general information on rights and obligations and assistance in completing application forms for exercising the right to free legal aid, regardless of whether they meet the conditions prescribed in Article 15 of the Law on the Provision of Free Legal Aid.

Application for free legal aid

An application for exercising the right to free legal aid in proceedings conducted before bodies and institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall be submitted on the form of the Office.

Completing the application

Along with the application for exercising the right to free legal aid, the applicant shall attach proof of fulfillment of the conditions in accordance with the Law on the Provision of Free Legal Aid.

The applicant shall be required to attach a certified written statement and a statement from adult members of his or her household regarding the state of his or her property, as well as a statement allowing access to all data on property and income.

The applicant shall be materially and criminally liable for the accuracy of the data stated in the application and statements.

Persons under subsidiary or temporary protection, refugees, stateless persons and victims of human trafficking shall attach appropriate documents from the competent authority confirming their status with the application.

Only complete applications will be considered.
