The Working Draft of the War Crimes Processing Strategy Prepared



12.09.2008. - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina was briefed by the B&H Ministry of Justice on the activities taken in the process of drafting of the War Crimes Processing Strategy. The Working Group, established by the Minister of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has prepared the Working Draft of the Strategy that is delivered to all members of the Group, for the purpose of making suggestions. 

We remind you that the State Strategy should provide the guidelines for processing of the war-crimes cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina. First of all, the Strategy should define the required number of personnel and material-technical resources in the judicial institutions, in order to solve a great number of cases in a reasonable period of time. At the moment, about 16,000 persons have been reported as the war criminals in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

After agreement on the final text, the proposal of the War Crimes Processing Strategy will be forwarded to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina for consideration and adoption.
