THE MINISTERS OF JUSTICE AND SECURITY FORUM

November 6, 2008 - Representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Minister Bariša Čolak will attend the sixth „EU - Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Home Affairs “ to be held on 6th and 7th November in Zagreb.
This is a meeting of the Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs of South West Europe, EU Council Presidency, European Commission and various EU agencies (EUROPOL, FRONTEX).
The forum will discuss the issues of borders, migration, visa, security and cross-border crime, anti-corruption, financial investigations and forfeiture of proceeds of crime. Delivering his speech, the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina will especially underline a systemic resolution of the issue of proceeds of crime against the State and the need to simultaneously strengthen the cooperation of the agencies detecting crimes and the agencies prosecuting them.
The sixth ministerial Forum is organized by the Republic of Croatia, as host country, and the Republic of France, as EU Council Presidency holder. Minister of the Interior Michèle Alliot-Marie, Minister of Immigration Brice Hortefeux and Minister of Justice Rachida Dati will attend the forum in their capacity as representatives of EU Council Presidency holder.
The Forum will also be attended by Jacques Barrot, European Commission Vice-President and Commissioner responsible for Justice, Freedom and Security.
