Tender for Preparatory Works on the State Prison Construction

Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced call for tenders for carrying out the preparatory works on the State Prison construction. This is only one call for tenders out of a number of calls for tenders that are going to be announced in the following weeks in parallel with other activities whose intensification will contribute to the full completion of the construction of High-Security State Prison in the following two years.

Call for tenders for development of surveys based on test wells excavations and geo-mechanical review has been announced today. The aim of these surveys is to complete technical documentation of the State Prison Construction Project, whose infrastructure and purpose will meet the highest standards of high-security prison, in accordance with the recommendations of the best European practice.

After modifying the original project, Ministry of Justice of BiH has undertaken the numerous measures to make the implementation of further activities fast, efficient and qualitative. In a short period of time, the Project Implementation Unit has completed the adoption of the Preliminary Project as well as development of the Final Project. Preparation of the access road and announcement of call for tenders for the major works will start over the following months.

To enable participation of local companies in the tender and job for a hundreds of our workers, the project will be divided into several phases and smaller units. On the web site of the Ministry of Justice of BiH, all interested bidders will be able to see all public procurement calls related to the state prison construction and to apply for the published tenders.

We kindly ask all interested companies to regularly check announcements of calls for tenders and to contribute by their participation to the construction of the first State Prison in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
