VISIT OF DELEGATION OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA



30.09.2008. - Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina met with a delegation of the People’s Republic of China lead by the chairperson of the Association of the Friendship with Foreign Countries, the minister Chen Haosu.

At the meeting the significance of the existing friendly relations and cooperation between two countries in different areas was emphasized. It was also stressed the readiness of the two countries to take concrete steps toward increasing the degree of cooperation in the field of judiciary, cooperation of nongovernmental organizations and international legal assistance in criminal and civil matters.

In relation to that, signature of an agreement was initiated by which the conditions are created for improvement of efficiency in preventing, investigation and criminal prosecution of the perpetrators of criminal offences, detection, blocking, seizing and confiscation of incomes and objects gained by organized crime.

During the meeting, the members of delegation of the People’s Republic of China have emphasized their satisfaction with the entire relations of the two countries, and assessed that “general progress” is achieved in cooperation of two countries.

The official visit of the Chinese delegation is characterized as very important because it is the most populous country and leading economic world power.
