Presentation of the Possibilities of Using EU Program “Europe for Citizens“

Ministry of Justice of BiH and the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH are organizing information day and workshop on the possibilities of using the program „Europe for Citizens“. First information day will be held on November 29, 2011, in Banja Luka (Hotel Bosna, Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića 97), at 10:00h, and the second one on November 30, 2011, in Sarajevo (Hotel Hollywood, Dr. Pintola 23, Ilidza), also at 10:00h.

The aim of the seminar is to present the program “Europe for Citizens” and possibilities that program offers for the civil society organizations and the local authorities, but also to share the experience of the Republic of Croatia in the accession process and use of the program.

Program „Europe for Citizens“ is the program of European Union which, through projects, supports participation of citizens in the European integration process, strengthening of European identity based on the common values, sense of ownership of the EU  and strengthening of mutual understanding and tolerance among European citizens. The program is open for non-governmental and other organizations of the civil society, local authorities, education institutions, volunteer networks, sports organizations and other stakeholders. Total budget for 2007-2013 period is 215 million EUR.

Informative workshops, which will be held in Banja Luka and Sarajevo, are organized in cooperation with the project Support to BiH Government for the European Integration Process and Coordination of Community Assistance – Phase III and TACSO project – office in BiH.
