Amendments to the Law on Administrative Procedure and the Law on Attorney's General Office adopted



2 July 2009- At today's meeting the BiH Council of Ministers has adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Administrative Procedure, which the BiH Ministry of Justice will forward to the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for deliberation in a regular legislative procedure. The Amendments inter alia provide for electronic data transmission and introduce other possibilities for administrative procedures to be carried out electronically, which will help the citizens to easier exercise their rights.

This enables the implementation of legal provisions of the Law on Electronic Signature and the Law on Electronic Legal and Business Transactions.

The BiH Council of Ministers has adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the BiH Attorney's General Office. The Amendments give technicalities elaborating the Law on the BiH Attorney's General Office in order to remove shortcomings found in the practice and inter alia define that a decision to relieve an Attorney's General and his Deputy of their office shall be made by the BiH Council of Ministers.

The BiH Ministry of Justice will forward the Draft to the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for deliberation in a regular legislative procedure.
