Minister of Justice of the Republic of Moldova visited the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, led by the Minister, Mr. Oleg Efrim, was on the study visit to the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina and BiH justice sector institutions in the period December 19-20, 2011.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the experience of BiH justice sector on the reform processes in the implementation of BiH Justice Sector Reform Strategy (JSRS). During the discussion, representatives of the Moldovan Delegation have shown special interest in mechanisms for implementation of sectoral strategy and financial plan, i. e. ways of financing the reform activities. One of the topics of discussion was also the project of constructing high-security prison at the state level, considering that reform processes have indicated the need for construction of one such prison in Moldova.                                                       

Delegation visited the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Municipal Court in Sarajevo, as the largest court in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister of Justice of the Republic of Moldova has expressed his pleasure with the visit, and he rated it as a good experience that will be used in the implementation of Moldovan Justice Sector Reform Strategy.
