Meeting of Minister of Justice of BiH and the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Nepal

14.09.2009. - Delegation of the Ministry of Justice of BiH, led by the Minister of Justice of BiH, Mr. Bariša Čolak, has met today with the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Nepal. At the meeting were considered current issues of common interest for both countries, such as constitutional reforms, reconciliation process, transitional justice and access to justice.
Minister Čolak presented to the representatives of Nepal Parliamentary delegation reforms initiated after the adoption of the National War Crimes Prosecution Strategy and Justice Sector Reform Strategy 2008-2012. "Justice Sector Reform Strategy should, in the following three years, solve the key issues from the area of transitional justice and access to courts", Minister Čolak has pointed out.
In general, relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nepal are regulated through multilateral conventions including: UN Convention against Corruption, UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings, Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft, Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation and Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
Representatives of the Ministry of Justice of BiH have expressed their interest in concluding bilateral agreements that would additionally improve the area of international legal assistance in criminal and civil matters between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nepal.
