According to the Criminal Code of BiH and the Law on International Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters of BiH, Bozidar Vucurevic cannot be extradited to another country because he is the national of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The case investigation is led by the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and the Republic of Croatia has the possibility to transfer all available evidence.

The former President of the Municipal Assembly of Trebinje, Bozidar Vucurevic, has resided in Serbia since April 4, where he was arrested on the basis of the warrant issued by the Republic of Croatia, by charging him with war crimes committed during the shelling of Dubrovnik. On June 17 he was released on bail, until the completion of the extradition procedure.

Ministry of Justice of BiH sent the request for extradition of Bozidar Vucurevic on April 14, in accordance with the European Convention on Extradition, i.e. with the complete documentation on the investigation that was delivered by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
